Developer Sound West Group (SWG) is celebrating the recent completion and opening of Rivulet Apartments, a 78-unit apartment community at 9950 Blaine Ave. N.W. in downtown Silverdale.

Rivulet was designed by Balance Architects and built by Clark Construction. Ground was broken in November 2021 and work was completed this September. The community cost $30.5 million to design and build.

Rivulet’s 78 apartments are split across two, two-story buildings and are served by 117 tuck-under and surface parking stalls. The creekside development is located on approximately 1.7 acres on Clear Creek and is adjacent to the Clear Creek Trail, a nine-mile walking and biking trail that connects the community to area businesses including a Safeway. A bike room on the development’s first floor provides a direct connection to the trail.

In a press release, SWG said Rivulet’s design was inspired by the “serene natural environment and wildlife bordering the property,” with NW lodge themed interiors, vaulted ceilings, large picture windows, two finish schemes and natural elements of wood and stone.

Community amenities include two outdoor decks facing the trail and creek and offering views of the Dyes Inlet; a fitness center with Zenroom; business center with quiet room; and landscaped trails with water features that lead to a dog park.

According to SWG, Rivulet is the first apartment community in the area to offer elevator access to each floor and introduce the open one-bedroom floorplan to the Silverdale market. Along with open one-bedroom units, the community has traditional one bedroom and two-bedroom homes. The average unit size is 621 square feet. Rents range from $1,600 to $2,700.

SWG says the community is currently 10% leased and occupied. The developers property management division, Elevated, manages Rivulet.

The project team also includes; Drift Interior Architecture, interior design; Fischer Bouma, landscape architect; Atlas Design, structural engineer; A3 Acoustics, acoustical engineer; NL Olson & Associates, Inc, civil engineer; Construction Consultants of WA, building envelope; and Marx Okubo, ADA Consulant.
