Spearheaded by acclaimed musician and bandleader Bobby Medina, this unforgettable production brings Jones’s extraordinary legacy to life through a bold blend of world-class music, rich storytelling, and immersive visuals. Join the Jones family and many important community leaders on this magical night to celebrate Quincy’s musical journey!
At the heart of the show is a 17-member Quincy Jones Square Celebration Orchestra, featuring the Pacific Northwest’s finest musicians. A lineup of renowned guest artists including Alvin Chea (Take 6), Oya (David Foster, Brian McKnight) along with the soulful Reggie Goings and chromatic jazz harmonica virtuoso Jay Mabin. Together, they take audiences on a captivating journey through Quincy Jones’s most iconic musical moments—spanning his early days as a visionary jazz arranger to his era-defining collaborations with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

About Bobby Medina:
Originally from Los Angeles, Bobby Medina is a dynamic trumpeter, bandleader, and producer whose career has taken him to stages around the world. He has performed with musical legends such as Ray Charles, Mel Tormé, the Four Tops, Frankie Valli, Wynonna Judd, and the Temptations, to name just a few.
Known for his vibrant and engaging stage presence, Bobby’s shows are a unique blend of artistry, global musical culture, multimedia, and fascinating insights drawn from his one-of-a-kind experiences in the music industry. His performances do more than entertain—they enlighten and spread happiness, one concert at a time.
With decades of experience and a passion for excellence, Bobby brings heart, precision, and vision to every project, including his latest role as artistic director of For the Love of Quincy!—a tribute as bold and soulful as Quincy Jones himself.

About Quincy Square, Bremerton:
Bremerton was the city where young Quincy Jones first discovered music. Quincy Square is a revitalization project, honoring Quincy Jones with focused arts, entertainment, and music. The late Quincy Jones affirmed his support for the project.
The City of Bremerton and Downtown Bremerton Association will host a grand opening celebration for Quincy Square on July 12th and 13th, including a formal ribbon cutting ceremony.
