Ferry Oriented Development, (F.O.D.), is our preferred mode of transport in Kitsap along with Transit Oriented Development (T.O.D). Our ferry system is the second largest in Washington State and the 13th largest in the United States. The fleet has grown to 10 vessels; 7 fast ferries and 3 local ferries.

Ferry ridership in all of Kitsap County is currently at 69,445. Bremerton has the highest ridership at 31,727 followed by Port Orchard, Southworth, Annapolis and Kingston. Bremerton currently has three Rich Passage-class vessels assigned to the Bremerton/Seattle route. Reliance, Lady Swift and Rich Passage 1.
